The Surface preparation of your boat is the most important part in order to get a good finish on your wrap, You’ll need to make sure your boat is prepped and ready for vinyl application before we arrive to wrap it.
*Note we do offer the preparation as an add-on cost if needed.
Please make sure the following is complete:-
- Sound paint or gelcoat (no flaking or excessive chalkiness)
- Dents and dings are filled and sanded back (any uneven areas will show up clearly under the vinyl)
- Hull cleaned and free from marine growth, mould and mildew, any silicone residue from through-hull fittings cleaned away
- Skin fittings removed (ideally, but if that’s not possible we can trim the surrounding vinyl.)
- Fenders are ideally moved and taken away (otherwise dust and debris can fall down behind the wrap)
- The boat is completely washed down top to bottom.
